Chimney Rock

Spent a fun weekend in the mountains recently to support a friend...doing a triathlon! But that craziness aside it was a pretty side of North Carolina. The race was at Lake Lure (where Dirty Dancing was filmed) and we wandered around Chimney Rock on our free time.

This is Chimney Rock...its the closest we saw of it because it was $14 per person and by the time we got there, it was only open for 2 more hours. Bummer.
Really awesome gas tank outside one of the gift shops. I love old things!

We spent quite a while in the gift shops goofing off. There were plenty of toys, and mountain trinkets to keep us preoccupied! I like the sparkly stone that I found.
