Because one dress is never enough for an international style icon, Nicole Richie wore three wedding dresses on her wedding day, all by Marchesa.
"Marchesa was both honored and thrilled to create the gowns for Nicole’s special day.
She has such incredible style and we worked with her closely to develop the different looks. Each design is a reflection of her vision and taste as well as Marchesa’s signature aesthetic", the label’s designers, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, said.
During the ceremony Nicole wore a ball-gown skirt crafted from more than 100 yards of hand-draped silk organza and tulle petals and included embroidery of the couple’s names on her sleeve.
The dress was inspired by the one Grace Kelly wore at her wedding to the Prince Rainier of Monaco
For the dinner, she changed into a turtleneck lace dress with a long train
For the after-dinner party, Nicole changed into another Marchesa frock, which I think is a piece from the fall 2007 collection with a crystal overlay from the spring 2011
