Doily Snowflakes

If you have been reading this blog for a while, you probably know that I love doilies a lot. So when I saw these doily snowflakes by DesignSponge, I had to make them!

It's so easy peasy. Simply fold the doily in half twice or three times.

Make a few random cuts. Little hearts look cute, and also tear drop shapes. Just do half the shape on the edge of the doily, and it will come out whole when you unfold it. Make a few cuts on the decorative edges of the doily too, to make snowflake shapes.

I tucked the doily snowflakes into a book to flatten out the creases

Keep the lacey edges for future use. I used them to decorate Christmas labels this morning.

I will show you the final outcome tomorrow! (Simply because the pictures are on my other camera and I'm lazy).
I can't believe it's Christmas Eve tomorrow! I've been putting off my holiday homework for two weeks now, and only just started some today. It's soo boring. And I'm off to babysit my little cousins in 45 minutes. They're aged 3 and 1... wish me luck!

lots of Christmasy love xxxx
