I want everything in Y-3 Spring 2010 collection

I would love to have all of the outfits in Y-3's Spring 2010 collection. Designer Yohji Yamamoto calls it his World Cup themed collection.

This is the kind of outfit that I could wear everyday to almost any activity.

Maybe part of the reason I like this collection is that it reminds me of how much fun I had coaching kids' soccer with my boyfriend a few years ago. Unfortunately, these days we are too busy to be soccer bums anymore.

Vogue Photo Shoot: "Playing the Field"

This photo shoot is in Vogue magazine (US), November 2009, and was photographed by Craig McDean. It features a red-haired model in flowery printed dresses from the Spring 2010 collection of several top fashion designers. All except one of the outfits are worn with Balenciaga boots made from black patent leather with straps and buckles.

Alexander McQueen Spring 2010 Show is Weirdly Fascinating

Check out this video of Alexander McQueens's Spring 2010 runway show. It's amazing and really strange at the same time. Girls with printed dresses that look like insects. Mile-high shoes. Space-age roaming cameras. That guy is a genious! http://alexandermcqueenlive.showstudio.com.

Luella Bartley has a great show fpr Spring 2009

Although I hate to think too much about spring clothes yet, I couldn't help but notice the beautiful clothes from Luella Bartley's Spring 2009 collection.

The headpieces with big bows and netting are very cute, but they remind me of when my sister and I were little flower girls in a wedding back in the early sixties. Maybe a bit too cutesy for me now, but it looks great on these young models!

Designer Russian Dolls

Here's a cute idea. Some famous fashion designers designed Russian dolls to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Russian Vogue. Can you guess which desinger is which? Top is Versace, next is Oscar de la Renta, next is Ralph Lauren, and the white one is Antonio Marras.

























The small one is by Gucci. These were some of my favorites, but you can see all 31 at the English Vogue website, www.vogue.co.uk.
