Lately have been feeling festive and finding myself drawn to yards and yards of tulle -- there's just something about the wonderfully fine netting that's incredibly romantic and reminds me of daydreams and ballerinas and softly diffused light streaming through billowing curtains . . .

{lavender & gold}

Had been trying to configure an artful arrangement of all my favourite paintings, photographs, and artwork, that is, until I happened across the simplicity of this exclusive arrangement of fashion illustrations. The uniform gold frames against the deep lavender adds a beautifully luxe and elegant element to an otherwise perfectly simple grouping.

Wonderful French-inspired images that seem to perfectly belong together, and would have also been great additions to the recent {elegant gray}

The first is a brilliant combination of old and new, and the second, the eternally stylish Stam with baguettes.

While it may be difficult to discover modern photography that rivals the astonishingly sophisticated and alluring vintage works of Henry Clarke, some of which were taken as many as 70 years ago, every once in a while, something passes by that is completely and stunningly beautiful . . .
