Today I'm sleeping in, lunching in Madison Square Park, maybe going for a run in Central Park and around Columbia University...either way, catching up on  my zzz's and my serenity will be To Do list priority Tres Importante!

Why not have some office inspiration? Correction. Fashionspiration! It is summer and its hot. This becomes a time of year that is rather hard to dress for the office because nothing comfortable inside (or professional for that matter) is comfortable outside. In fact, it all too often seems to be your demise as you sweat your way to the subway...or car.

Lucky for me, I finally work in fashion where my outfit below is totally legit and praised (ahhh finally) but I remember the conservative office I came from in Charlotte where it was hot as the dickens and they wanted you in a suit! umm no. Here is an easy office to outside wardrobe transition! A Blazer. The working girl's best friend. It is to a point of comical how almost anything, with a blazer added, can look professional.

For your conservative offices try a strapless jumpsuit or a breezy dress. Either way, with the blazer on in the office you are ready for business, but after you walk out those doors, the wayfarers can go on and the party can be started!

Pourquoi Pas? Dance with the Drama. Dare to be Fabulous.

The only thing keeping you from fabulous is fear. That's it. So rather than let fear hold you captive, why not dare to be fabulous? Push the envelope, or better jump off the cliff into all the daring creative sparkplugs of fashionspiration you have ever had. You have to dance with the drama to find any results, and I will tell you it is scary as hell, but in the end you are so fierce you will have those heads turning and mouths drooling. Guaranteed.

Why not allow the rain to refresh you mes cheris rather than be gloomy and tiresome? Its no longer cold rain, so slip on those Burberry rain boots, belt that Audrey trench and prance through the puddles on the way to work. Demand from yourself that this will be the refreshing walk towards your dreams and nothing less...and then who knows maybe that positive vibe of yours will boomerang right back!

It's finally hot!!! It took some time, but I'm enjoying feeling the sun on my skin. So why not run through a sprinkler mes cheris? I may be hard pressed to find one here in the city, but if you can...do it! Dance in some fresh water and enjoy being a kid if only for a moment.

Why not keep on believing my loves? I have been job searching lately which warrants its fair share of ups and downs...especially when the fashionable industry you are dying to be in is a bit closed door. I, like everyone, have hit my points where I can no longer keep myself upbeat, but 90% of the time, I'm optimistic that my amazing opportunity is right around the corner. So I skip from coffee rendez-vous to networking event basking in the glory of New York City and feeling satisfied that at least I know I am home and in the right place.

Monday I had a coffee with a new friend who shared some rejuvenating words that caught me off guard...

No matter where you are in life, if you only focus on your impossible circumstances you are bound to sink. If you keep your head up and your eyes on your goal, you have no other choice but to keep on stepping and arrive at your destination. Its in the doubting, the questioning, the focusing on the negatives that the road gets impossible.

 As a planner, be it events or life, the hardest thing for me to do is let go and trust God will provide. And even though I have been provided for time and time again, I still worry. So I'm glad that when I struggle with the calm of knowing everything will work out, I have great friends to be that constant reminder of trust and patience and faith.

Why not go running my dears? The weather is warming up and soon the flowers will be in bloom, these transitional months are the absolute best time of the year to run outside. As an avid outdoor runner (treadmills kill me) I love these Goldilocks seasons when its not too hot or too cold, its juuust right!

New York finally warmed up a bit after a lot of rain and I decided to steal the advantage while I had it and take my run through beautiful Central Park. I've been waiting all my life for my workouts to be here...and I tell you what, it did not disappoint!

The holiday will be here before you know it and I for one have yet to buy anything (very unusual)! It has been one hectic season chock full of meetings, parties, and to-do lists... but I am loving how beautiful the city is all decorated and the sounds of Christmas music ringing from every corner.... especially the smell of Christmas trees from the street vendors. Magical.

She had turned into quite the little gamine and I can't wait to see what she does post Hermione. The super statement pixie cut I believe is only the beginning.
