{inspiration: pretty totes & whisps of chiffon}

perfectly-pretty-hed-23

. . . a very favourite blogger collaboration must be alix from the cherry blossom's girl's with french lingerie company étam -- the pieces are so perfectly pretty and draped in sheer romance, it's nearly impossible not to be swept up in the delicate ruffles, elegant lace, and powdery whisps of chiffon . . .

Atlantic-Pacific

I've found my new fashion inspiration, Atlantic-Pacific.

This girl has a sick sense of style. She knows how to combine high and low pieces to make to die for outfits. And she definitely has a knack for accessories.

Thanks so much to Ruby Press for the find.

Check out her "rules for accessorizing"

1. Accessories don’t always have to complete or compliment the outfit, they can often be the outfit.

2.
Play with proportions- mix a statement necklace with multiple delicate necklaces or one large, chunky bangle with a handful of thin ones to create depth.

3. To build a collection that is well rounded,
accumulate pieces, don’t simply buy out of need. Also remember that accessories can be more versatile than you think- your favorite brooch may become your favorite necklace or your staple necklace could become your new accent bracelet.

4.
Invest in the classics. Even if you are an of-the-moment trend dresser, invest in a few key accessories that can be the base to many looks in your closet.

5. Remember these are my rules…so have fun and
create your own fabulous set.

{table for two: what katie ate, encore}

katie-ate-again-6

. . . this week's table for two is favourite australian food photographer katie quinn davies, who was featured here in july, but has added a charming new cookbook layout to her blog, a few gorgeous new photographs, as well as amazingly wonderful new recipes, such as farfalle with bacon, peas and sage, baby fig and apple fruit tarts, conchiglie pasta with mushrooms and parmesan cream sauce, red velvet cupcakes, and of course, pink grapefruit granita . . .

{table for two: desserts for breakfast}

dessert-for-breakfast1

. . . with utterly delectable recipes such as lobster lobster mac 'n cheese, ginger-champagne pancakes with champagne-poached pears, apricot pistachio chocolate mousse tartlets, rosemary pancakes with poached pears, chocolate ricotta and lemon poppyseed pound cake and chocolate & lemon mascarpone cupcakes{!}, desserts for breakfast, by bay area graduate student, stephanie, will have your inner martha whipping up deliriously beautiful concoctions in no time, or at least inspired to do so . . . unless, of course, you're like me and have an astonishing lack of culinary skills, and, like carrie, might as well keep sweaters in your oven . . .

. . . a very favourite thing is to look back at old photographs of past trips -- so many memories and beautiful moments captured forever, and for the same reason, also love glimpses of others' vacation photographs -- and so, ecstatic to happen upon these shots of rome and cinque terre and other stunning places in italy, and was immediately lost in an enchanting world of dusky cathedrals, charming coastlines, prosciutto-wrapped figs and sandy beaches . . .

{p.s.} also lovely: venice

. . . must confess am rather quite a disaster in the kitchen, but could happily recommend the best tarte niçoise or crème brulée in town, share the most delicious-tasting recipes and beautiful cookbooks and could most definitely gaze at stunning food photography forever, and so, was utterly delighted to happen upon what katie ate, a blog by australian food photographer katie quinn davies, who cooks, styles, and photographs every delectable recipe and may even inspire an afternoon venture back into the kitchen . . .

{blog inspiration: linen + lavender}

. . . completely over heels for this stunning room -- the incredibly elegant chandelier, the soft greys and crisp linens . . .

. . . and always exciting to discover new & wonderful blogs positively filled with beautiful things, such as linen + lavender, {here & here} a place that have been visiting nearly obsessively for the past little while and a place absolutely made for wandering about, getting hopelessly caught up and utterly lost in . . .

{blog inspiration: bardot in blue}

. . . when there's a moment, always love to search for new blogs in the comments section of posts, which often leads to happy discoveries and sometimes, even to falling, falling into a beautiful new world, such as the one seen through the eyes of bardot in blue, a world of macarons and afternoons spent at cafés, manicured gardens and cocktail dinners on the seine . . . but by far the most favourite are the days tinged in a mesmerizing and dreamy blue . . .
