Bonton

When in Paris, my friend and I came across this adorable French children's clothes shop called BONTON. It sold other things as well, including wrapping paper, room decorations, and cupcakes I think? But the clothes are just so so cute. I think I'll have to make a shopping trip to Paris as soon as I have children. I love the muted colours of the clothes, and their French style.

My poor children are going to have no say on what they wear!

Another Lunch

I just discovered the blog Another Lunch and I find looking at these pictures of beautifully presented lunchboxes so unbelievably satisfying. They are so lovely and organised.

I know these lunches are for kids, but I might have to pop back to this blog for inspiration when I start having to make lunches to take into uni. I'm so lazy with my lunches - it's always a sandwich, cereal bar and an apple! Do you buy lunches or take them into work/ school/ college?

Bold kiddie interiors

I never get bored of looking at kids' rooms. They must be SO much fun to design as you can be much more bold with colours and designs than adults' rooms. Nothing has to be "sophisticated" or grown-up. I love the strong colours of these kids rooms - it's refreshing to see children's bedrooms which aren't all painted baby pink, blue or yellow.

I love love love this tree wallpaper - they've achieved so much in such a tiny space. The counting sheep mobile is so sweet!

The more I look at the bedroom below, the more I like it. The organised design is so satisfying! The storage underneath is so practical and pretty, and I like the privacy that the curtains must provide. I have the same duvet covers used here, I love it :)

Hopefully I'll get to write one more quick post to say goodbye before I go on holiday! I'm super busy working full time this week and I'm leaving at three o'clock in the morning on Thursday. OUCH. Hope you all had a good weekend xxxx

ASOS for little ones

I noticed recently that ASOS have released a clothing line for kids. I nanny for 3 little girls three days a week (aged 6, 4 and 5 weeks old) and they have THE sweetest clothes ever. Everytime I have to dress the girls or fold away the teeny tiny soft baby vests I get serious cute attacks!

Wow I will need to have some self-restraint when I have kids! Otherwise I could seriously get broke. Don't you think dresses in cute mini sizes are so much prettier though?

Tiny birthday party

Caroline of armelle blog threw her daughter Norah the cutest party for her first birthday with a "tiny" theme. You might remember that I love tiny things and so I fell in love with the photographs of this party!

She managed to make/ buy mini versions of everything (though it's quite hard to tell from photographs that the things are small, but we'll have to trust her on that one!)

Hope Floats: A Balloon Journey

Golden, curly haired, adorable little ones, with the soft, rosy pink tones and the sweet message of hope. Notice hope is reminiscent to something, light, airy, hanging by a thread. Simply let go, and it's gone.


It would be different if it was a photo of two children holding anvils. Heavy, stoic, firm, unmovable, unable to be shaped, opaque no, that wouldn't be right.


Hope, uplifts us, lightens our load, overcomes our weaknesses, helps us look upward, set our focus and concentrate our energy. Hope is something we engage our hearts in, we grasp on to, and hold on for the ride.

Retro Villa

I've discovered a new website - retrovilla.dk. I don't understand any of the language, and I find the website quite confusing, but the pictures are just beautiful! (I think) they sell vintage wallpapers in amazing patterns. They look so sweet in the kids' rooms. I especially love the giant retro patterned animals. Here are a few of my favourite images:

 

I think you can get away with so much more colour and pattern and have much more fun when decorating a kid's room!
