Five things that make me happy today

1. My newly framed postcard from Zoë at Conversation Pieces, in a frame from Joy

2. My bestie, (also called Polly!) returns from SE Asia in just under 3 weeks. She's been there since January and I've missed her!

3. My Elle Decoration arrived in the post this morning. Always puts a smile on my face! I've been reading it in the garden, which brings me to my next point...

4. ... it's actually like summer today.

5. And it's Junior Apprentice on tonight! Does anyone else watch this?

Lots of love

Best friends

are the best

These photos remind me how much I miss my lovelies. They're pretty much all away right now - either on holiday, or on interview-related trips, or on their Gap years or at university.

And I miss being with friends who know me better than I know myself

And so I can't wait for summer when they all come back to London :)

Pretty undies

Just a quick post for today, but I had to show you this!

These beauties, which I stumbled across today, happen to be called Polly Pansy bra and knickers! How amazing is that! So of course, despite being in Lebanon and not being home for 6 weeks, I ordered them!

Will post again soon, but I am so exhausted at the moment from running after these children all day.

Pip Studio

As Polly R has mentioned in a previous post, I am spending this summer working as an au pair/nanny in Geneva looking after two little girls aged 5 and 7. On my day off this week, I took a tour of the old town (and managed to forget my camera, so I will have to take some pretty pictures the next time I'm there) and also did a little bit of shopping.

The view of Lac Leman and some of Geneva from the Big Wheel - like the London Eye

I was in Manor - the main department store of Geneva - when I found myself drawn to the stationary floor. There were so many pretty colours (again, I'll save a nice picture for another post - sorry!) and I really am a sucker for lovely stationary!

I saw the most beautiful stand, full of absolutely gorgeous stationary: notebooks, folders, diaries, pencil cases, wrapping paper, the whole shebang. I fell in love with it all and I had to stop myself from buying the whole lot.

The company who designed this beautiful stationary collection is called Pip Studio. When I got back to the house, I decided to do a bit of research on this company. I found that they do gorgeous bedlinen (but unfortunately I cant find anywhere in England that sells it), wallpaper, home furnishings and kitchenware.

I also found that decor8 has already done a really lovely post about this really lovely brand. You can check that out here, where you can also find more gorgeous pictures.

These are my purchases: two rolls of wrapping paper and two notebooks.

The items were extra specially good for me because a lot of them feature the letter P and luckily for me my name begins with P!

Anyway, just thought I'd let you all know about Pip Studio and I hope they start selling it in London as I've never seen it anywhere :(
