{colour inspiration: red wine & ripe cranberry}

. . . when you combine the work of a fashion photographer and an interiors photographer, there is magic in the air, and an intermingling of intricately carved headboards and patent leather peeptoes, cranberry-coloured satin and sexy tousled hair, warm wool blankets and beaded gowns with velvet sashes, and all enveloped in warm and woodsy late-autumn tones of red wine and ripe cranberries, just in time for the holidays . . .

. . . hello! monday, monday and beautifully exhausted after a summer weekend away, lavender-laden thoughts still lingering . . . and while wonderful to get away, always lovely to return home again to a new week filled with a million brilliant things: to do, to see, to plan, to accomplish, to dream . . .

{a farewell to wintery things}

. . . and after all the sunny and sun-drenched days, thoughts of wintry things are banished and it's farewell to cozy mohair blankets, tucked away for light and breezy linens, the fallen ashes of fireplaces cleared away for a fresh bouquet or an arrangement of candles for romantic summer nights, or, for a little adventure and all-out glamour, charmingly rustic wood alongside a dazzling mirror ball . . .

Birthday celebrations ran into the weekend, and with salon appointments and dinner engagements, am running a little behind this morning . . . Also especially behind on comments and e-mails and may need to take a few moments to catch up today . . .
