Pretty in {hot} pink

Did you have a nice mother's day? It was a beautiful sunny day in London and my mum and I cycled to The Saatchi Gallery and then did a bit of shopping. I came across the lovely lace tape for only £3 for 3 rolls in
Peter Jones.I can't wait to stick it everywhere :) I also decided that I needed a proper starter sewing kit, seeing as I am a textile student. I found this sweet little set for £9 in the same shop. I love the pattern on the outside.

Papermash

Lynne from Tea for Joy has opened a gorgeous new stationary shop, called Papermash.

She sells cards, tags, notebooks and lovely lovely tape.

Some of my favourite items:

And here's the best part: Lynne has organised a competition with the prize being a years worth of stationary as well as a 10% discount on her shop until August 21st.

I know I'm entering.

Pip Studio

As Polly R has mentioned in a previous post, I am spending this summer working as an au pair/nanny in Geneva looking after two little girls aged 5 and 7. On my day off this week, I took a tour of the old town (and managed to forget my camera, so I will have to take some pretty pictures the next time I'm there) and also did a little bit of shopping.

The view of Lac Leman and some of Geneva from the Big Wheel - like the London Eye

I was in Manor - the main department store of Geneva - when I found myself drawn to the stationary floor. There were so many pretty colours (again, I'll save a nice picture for another post - sorry!) and I really am a sucker for lovely stationary!

I saw the most beautiful stand, full of absolutely gorgeous stationary: notebooks, folders, diaries, pencil cases, wrapping paper, the whole shebang. I fell in love with it all and I had to stop myself from buying the whole lot.

The company who designed this beautiful stationary collection is called Pip Studio. When I got back to the house, I decided to do a bit of research on this company. I found that they do gorgeous bedlinen (but unfortunately I cant find anywhere in England that sells it), wallpaper, home furnishings and kitchenware.

I also found that decor8 has already done a really lovely post about this really lovely brand. You can check that out here, where you can also find more gorgeous pictures.

These are my purchases: two rolls of wrapping paper and two notebooks.

The items were extra specially good for me because a lot of them feature the letter P and luckily for me my name begins with P!

Anyway, just thought I'd let you all know about Pip Studio and I hope they start selling it in London as I've never seen it anywhere :(

Cute postcards

Look how adorable these postcards from Paperchase are! I went there for inspiration for colour schemes for my textiles print (my art exam is next week ahhh!) and ended up buying these three lovelies for my scrapbook instead!

Aren't they just adorable?

As you may have noticed, I am trying to blog at least every other day now. Please take the poll to the right so that I know what you like reading about :)
