I can pack for that: Charleston

Many have trouble packing for vacation, what is the happy medium between practical amount and not prepared? Well with the warm weather playing hide and seek in New York, I thought I'd tribute a vacay desty that really knows how to do Summer right...Charleston! Seriously, if you have not visited this gorgeous South Carolina town yet, your life is lacking, it is amazing. The quintessential Southern town with large sweet teas, long beach walks, and a whole lot of Southern Charm is a must-see and now you will know how to arrive in style when packing for vacation!

The Carolinas are casual and classic pretty. Make sure to not forget the major fashion staples, The Three P's: plaid, pastels, and pearls! Classic prep is the way to fit in most with the laid back golfers paradise of Charleston. Bring some Sperry's (or my suggested version of boat shoes below), and do NOT, I repeat, do NOT forget your flip flops, Rainbows are the passport into this region of the States ~~and so is Vera Bradley~~. Then curl up along the Charleston shore listening to Carolina Girl and reading a regional author...you may have heard of him...Nicholas Sparks.

Now y'all get to packing for vacation now, ya hear?!

I can pack for that. The Hamptons Edition

My dears the season of travel is upon us and I could not be more excited. Summer travel holds the best memories for me and I always love brainstorming new adventures for my friends and I, as we road trip around the States. The biggest problem when it comes to vacationing, is the packing. How do you pack just enough so you can change outfits and be prepared for anything...and not drag your whole house with you? Well darlings after watching Something Borrowed this weekend, I was motivated by The Hamptons montage to create a Hamptons DIY packing lesson!

1. Preppy Classic - pastels and little whales printed on fabric encouraged

2. Pack only one beach towel and one bathing suit

3. Have one pair of shoes for day and one for night...and then some flip flops for the beach

4. Adhere to one color palette to maximize outfit options

5. Always bring a pashmina, beaches can get chilly from the wind

6. Pick a purse that can double agent as a beach tote...AND a makeup bag that is also a clutch!
