Latest uni work

To finish off my 3 week printing project after drawing in Kew Gardens and producing some heat transfer print samples, I photoshopped some of my designs onto images from Elle Decoration, and the internet. Usually I just visualise my designs for interiors, but this time I thought I'd try some out for fashion as well, and I quite like the results!
There's now less than two weeks left of my first year at university which is crazy! Feels like I just moved into my student halls and now I'm moving out! I can't wait to get back to London and relax though.

Yellow and Turquoise

Kerry of the Seventy Tree has been doing a lovely series of posts called "Blog Friends" with some stunning interiors of fellow bloggers. I love the gorgeous bold colours and individuality of the kitchen she featured today, from Francesca of Mrs Eliot Books.

I really like the use of the Orla Kiely wallpaper, and the shiny dark tiles.

Spira cushions

I am loving these Scandinavian style cushions, found at HUS & HEM. I wouldn't mind having a couple of these colourful cushions to arrange on my bed. I especially like the contrast of the geometric triangles with the more flowing foliage and flowers. If I could pick I think I would go for the first two below!

Chevron letter "P"

My parents gave me this white letter P for my birthday a couple of years ago and I've been meaning to do something with it for a while, I just wasn't sure what until today. I've loved chevron patterns for a while, and so thought this was a nice way to bring it into my room.

I used masking tape to create the pattern. I probably should have measured it out properly but was too lazy and just did it by eye! I was going to go for a hot pink colour, but when I started mixing it I quite liked this pale pink instead.

Unfortunately it didn't work extremely well - I used acrylic paint and was worried that it would peel the edges when I took off the masking tape, and it did a little bit. However I went over some of the worse edges and I think it looks ok from a distance!

I love doing little simple crafts like this, it's so easy and so satisfying!

Today I made mini knitted bunting

Because I love mini bunting

Because I love knitted things

Because I still owe my friend a homemade Christmas present (whoops)

Though I might have to make myself some as well!

Spring Interiors

When the sun comes out I just want everything to be white and fresh, with splashes of colour everywhere.
Flowers, pretty boxes, mismatched colourful bottles.
I can't wait to go home in the Summer and give my room a bit of a revamp.
Have a lovely weekend

Reading nook

How lovely and cosy does this little reading nook look? I would love to curl up on those cushions with a good book and a mug of hot chocolate!

Inviting apartment

Another interior for you! I love the natural, laid-back colour palette in this beautifully light attic apartment. Carefully placed homely clutter brings a cosy feel to it, and the various plants and pale colours on the walls give it a freshness. I can definitely imagine living here!

I went home to London at the weekend and had a wonderful time catching up with old friends. It has made me look forward to the Christmas break even more - less than 3 weeks to go!
It's all snowy here in England at the moment, and freezing cold. It makes me want to stay in bed all day. We've been having our own version of the tv programme "Come Dine With Me" in our flat recently and my flatmate made delicious pizzas this evening. I better run - she has bought us GU chocolate tart for dessert!
Have a lovely week xxx

Kerry's House Tour

I absolutely fell in love with Kerry from the Seventy Tree's house tour. There is so much light and the dark floors and pale walls are gorgeous. I love how she has managed to make the interior grown-up, while keeping lots of playful details. And how cute is her baby boy Bertie!?

If you haven't checked out her blog before, you should! The Seventy Tree is one of my favourite blogs for endless inspiration for interiors!
I hope you're all having a good week. I'm SO thankful that it's Friday. After a week of writing my essay until 2am every night and waking up at 7.30am every to go to uni, I'm utterly exhausted! Can't wait for a lie in tomorrow. Have a wonderful weekend lovelies xxx
