Nicole Richie arriving at the Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation fundraiser to benefit the Children’s Health Fund at Cusp Boutique on May 31, in Los Angeles. She looks amazing. I like her new necklace.

Art of Tascha

Tascha has created some wonderful tutorial videos and I am so glad to have found the write up of her on Etsy's online mag The Storque.

This particular article shows a variety of ways to use videos for your shop, something I have been needing to do with some of my art and especially with my puppets. I am still trying to figure how to do the whole video thing and especially how to do it in fast motion.

So, feast on her video and get inspired to create your own masterpiece and browse through her lovely shop!

Liz modeling look of the day

Here is a picture of me in front of my car that my son took a few days ago. I am wearing my new high-heel sandals by Calvin Klein, and my purse is from Liz Claiborne. The skirt is a local thrift store find. My car is a 2004 Mazda RX-8 and I get lots of compliments on it. People even give me the thumbs-up when I'm riding around in it!

Nicole going to traffic school

Nicole Richie was spotted going to traffic school in Van Nuys, California, on May 28. Yummy mummy Nicole opted for a pair of Paige Premium Denim flared jeans, a lovely Anna Sui top and Christian Dior sunglasses. The sweater is from Missoni. She looks extremely cute!

{à bientôt}

{Adriana Lima & David Boreanaz photographed by Pamela Hanson via Yunta D}

Been a hectic few months, and long overdue for some down time, so we're off to Paris {flight leaves tonight!} for a little adventure and a dash of fun, leaving our cares and BlackBerrys behind . . .

{See you in two weeks! À bientôt!}

Twilight

Photobucket

I read the first book 'Twilight' by Stephanie Meyer with my husband, we took turns reading chapters, and we had great fun! (My brother in law who also read & loved the books, said that any man will feel like they have a uterus after reading these!) When we got to the second book, 'New Moon', I needed to read it more than he was willing, so I stayed up and read the entire thing overnight. This book left me slightly sad, so I decided to read the entire third book, 'Eclipse', the next day (which was today).

I really did enjoy the series, but I am left disappointed by the ending as it was not as happy as I wanted (I am an Edward fan... too much Jacob in there for my taste). I have a tendancy to become saddened and moody when books don't have fairy tale endings, so when the fourth installment of the book, 'Breaking Dawn', comes out in August, I will have to read it, in hopes that it will lighten the spirit of the romance and intensity. I spare details of what I did/didn't like, to spare anyone who would like to read them. But if you have and would like to chat, send me a message as I so want to talk it up!

By the way, here are some great links on the books and the trailer for the movie that is due to come out December 12, 2008!!

Artsy fashion

I discovered some great artsy clothes with a ballerina-style twist. It is called Ouma Clothing and can be found at ouma.etsy.com or oumaclothing.com. The website at oumaclothing is one of the best I've seen with some great photos and animation. Check out some photos from their site!

Maxi dresses

I am a lover of the maxi dress trend. A floor-lenght dress has the ability to suit all shapes and sizes, it's universally flattering and there's no need to have perfect legs. All the celebrities have been wearing it since last summer, like Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, Eva Longoria, Gwen Stefani.
Tiny Nicole Richie shows you don't have to be tall to look fabulous in a maxi dress. Nobody can wear a maxi dress like her. She pairs it with her trademark oversized sunglasses, flip flops, flats, sky-high Louboutins or gladiator sandals and a Balenciaga bag for a very casual and bohemian look.

Rodarte knits Fall 2008

These are from the Rodarte fall 2008 collection. Definitely not your grandmother's knits! I would love to try to make something like this, but it would be hard to make it look this good!
