{balloons + beautiful surprises}

Balloons, balloons are everywhere, and happily so, as there are things to celebrate. Always delightful to receive parcels in the post, and one of the fun things about blogging is the beautiful surprises that arrive in the mail. There have been fancy invitations to alluring events, works of art, many books and other lovely things, but the new favourite is the gemma field tote that recently arrived . . . {Thanks so much, Jessica!}

Hope you're having a lovely weekend filled with beautiful surprises!

Nicole and her fans part. 2

Nicole at her weekly traffic school

On January 28 Nicole Richie was photographed by the paparazzi ariving at her weekly traffic school class.
Miss Richie wore the exact same outfit she did the week before.
There are two small differences: the cup of coffee and her hair.

No, no, nooooo

This is so wrong.

Are you nuts Scarlett Johansson? You really thought you could cover a Jeff Buckley song and get away with it?

I'm offended.

I think everyone should have "Grace" in their music collection. God, he was soooo good...

In Nicole's closet: Decolette

Nicole Richie wore this Decolette printed silk racerback dress on January 8.
The mini dress can be found at Vionnet, a womens ready-to-wear specialty boutique in Los Angeles on Robertson Blvd., and cost $335.

Big thanks to Bridget Ghadarkhani for informing me.

Bebaroque Tights

Aren't these the coolest tights you've ever seen? Thanks to Susie at the Style Bubble blog for posting about these great tights. Although it is an English company, I believe that Americans can buy these at mytights.com. Prices are steep though, between $40-$80. According to Susie Bubble, they are long lasting.

"Is that blood on you? Yeah. From where? People's faces."

So the Brian Jonestown Massacre are coming to town April 9th to play Exit/In. If you don't know who they are you need to watch D!G.

I can't believe they're playing here. I saw the Dandy's back in September and it was one of the best shows I'd ever seen.

Nicole at the Byron & Tracey Salon opening party

Miss Richie attended the Byron & Tracey Salon opening party hosted by Rachel Zoe and sponsored by Martini & Rossi Prosecco at Byron & Tracey Salon, in Beverly Hills, on January 29.
Nicole and her former stylist, Rachel Zoe, were spotted chatting and smiling. I'm a big fan of Rachel, so I'm glad they're friends again.
Sporting fresh cut bangs, Nic took the opportunity to promote her own jewelry line, wearing bracelets from her House of Harlow 1960 collection.
For this event she chose a long Issa butterfly-print dress.
