Pretty Things from Brighton

Sorry about my nearly week-long disappearance. We've had a friend (who moved to Singapore 14 years ago) staying so we've been pretty busy entertaining him :)

Yesterday we took a day-trip to Brighton. Here are some pretty things that I collected during the day...

I was pretty annoyed with myself as I forgot to charge my camera before and so I only managed to take about seven pictures before it died.

We walked along the Pier, went on a couple of rides, ate fish and chips by the sea then wandered around the shops. I dragged my sister and friend into a little stamp shop where I picked up 100 pretty flower stamps for £4. We also went to a lovely shop called House of England where I bought the letter.

Another highlight of the day was going to Scoop & Crumb. It has been my lifelong dream to go there. (Ok maybe not life-long but two-year-long). It is a gorgeous Scandinavian style cafe selling amazing homemade ice creams, cakes, sundaes, waffles and sandwiches. My sister and friend had ice cream sundaes and I had a delicious toffee cake. Ahh if you ever go to Brighton you have to pop in. I loved the decor as well - lovely modern chairs and beautiful wallpaper on one wall.
