Nicole Richie designs for A Pea in the Pod

Nicole Richie has teamed up with A Pea in the Pod to create a capsule collection of maternity wear that will be available in stores this summer.
On her official website Nicole wrote:
Pea in the Pod and I joined to create a capsule collection of maternity wear that will be available in stores this summer. Last weekend I shot some images for the campaign with one of my favorite photographers, James White .
I’m really excited for you all to see the new collection.

UPDATE:
A Pea in the Pod tells PEOPLE:
"A Pea in the Pod is excited about their partnership with Nicole Richie and the collection will be available in stores in early August."

{for love or art}

Feels wonderfully like a summer cottage -- the rustic ceiling, the fresh and breezy palette, the laid-back summery vibe, and most of all, the hopelessly romantic artwork . . .

{seashell chandeliers}

Forever drawn to the intoxicating lure of the ocean -- the salty air, the rise and fall of crashing waves, seaglass, scallop shells and starfish, and these intricately beautiful grotto shell chandeliers that have such a magical, underwater allure . . .

Columbia Road

Polly AB and I wandered along to Columbia Road on Sunday. I had never been there before, and it was lovely. There are so many cute little individual and vintage shops. I just wanted to buy everything!
One of my favourites was a shop that sold (among other things) wall stickers like these beautiful birds:

They cost £12 for two and I so so wanted to buy some, but we realised that to make them look good on a wall, you would need at least four... and so luckily Polly managed to stop me and I saved a lot of money! They can easily be made though. You could blow up the picture of the bird below, print it out, and use it as a stencil to cut out some pretty wrapping/ wallpaper and stick it onto the wall yourself.

I did end up buying some white tiles, one with a "P" on it, the other with an umbrella... but with my room all messy from painting it (I am currently sleeping in the spare room!) I have somehow misplaced them so for now cannot photograph them!

The flower market was beautiful and smelt amazing

We wandered along Brick Lane and to Spittelfields market. On the way we bought some delcious cupcakes. Polly bought a rose one (below) and I got a cherry one.

We loved these pretty cream dresses

After buying some cream cheese bagels from the famous "Beigel Bake" shop in Brick Lane (90p!), I bought these lovely fake flowers from a stall outside for £1.50.

If you have a spare moment (and live in London!) you should visit Columbia Road... I am definitely returning!

Brief Hiatus

Hello Dearest Readers,

Sometimes the "Real World" comes calling and rears its ugly head. I will be away from blogging for a bit (just a few days, I would imagine) in order to deal with a few unpleasant things, and hope to return to you refreshed, with head held high.

As the wise TAG likes to remind me, the bridge from despair to hope is a good night's sleep. I hope that with each night of sleep, and the blessed and wonderful opportunity of a completely new start every 24 hours, I will be rid of despair and brimming with hope when I next return to you.

Only Love,
Cxx.

Bon Voyage

These suitcases make me want to go on a fabulous voyage to a far away land.

Oh So Lofty

I have always loved the idea of living in a loft. A footed tub behind a dressing screen. Gigantic wall spaces for large gaudy antique portraits, industrial cabling with grommet fastened canvas room divider slides, random columns and/or beams, cool concrete floors... so basically none of this would be practical with toddlers and a big dog in a suburb, but a girl can imagine, right? Loft images from Loft Life Magazine. Love it!

LIMI FEU FALL 2010

Limi Feu, non ha mai considerato il fatto
di potersi porre come erede nel lavoro a suo padre;

Nicole on Who What Wear

To attend the third annual Kidstock Music and Art Festival at the Greystone Mansion, Nicole Richie mastered the bohemian rocker look by pairing her medium-brimmed felt fedora with JET Trasher Jeans ($185), a long tank top, and a fringed cross-body bag. The end result is haute hippie to be sure, a look that suits Richie splendidly. For other mothers-to-be take note: a great hat—like RVCA's Hamptons Fedora ($39)—not only keeps the sun out of your eyes, but also draws the eye upward.
