Although I am not quite 50, I can understand why some older women feel ignored by the fashion industry. I read a really great article today about a woman who decided to abandon the fashion industry when she turned 60, because she felt that they were ignoring her and others of her age.
In todays Guardian, at www.guardian.co.uk, Alison Lurie is interviewed from her Florida home. I guess that she and some of her friends are sort of boycotting the fashion industry. Refusing to buy their clothes, cosmetics and hair coloring products. Alison and her friends have a good point. They say that they feel a certain freedom from having to keep up with society's expectations that a woman should fit stereotyped notions of beauty.
I have noticed that there are not very many women my age who have fashion blogs. I wonder why?
