Emma Bridgewater

Yesterday it was really hot and I was walking back from my first exam. It suddenly started raining which really suprised me... it was just so sunny and there I was walking in a sleeveless dress. Very quickly it turned into a monsoon and so I dived into the nearest shop... Emma Bridgewater.

I have to say I haven't been in there for ages. I like a lot of her designs such as the Polka Dot and Heart ones, but a lot are quite old-fashioned and too granny-ish for me.
However, I walked right to the back of the shop and came across a range of melamine items from... Rice! I love Rice and haven't found anywhere in England that stocks their products until now. Recently I have been wishing that I had my own home simply so that I can buy things like this. Is that weird for an 18 year old to want to buy bowls and spoons and plates?!
Anyway, these are some of the things that they had in Emma Bridgewater:

I LOVE the bowls, long spoons and cups especially. They are so sweet! And I adore the colours. Plus they're all so cheap: bowls, £7.50; plates, (side plate) £5 and (dinner plate), £7; cups, £2.50 (set of 6 for £15); long spoons, 6 for £6; short spoons, 6 for £5.
I also love these beakers for £3.50:

And this teatowel is so true! (£7)
Ok, one last thing... on the subjects of bowls etc, I love these Latte bowls from Anthropologie. Can you get any prettier?

They are expensive though, at £19 each.

So... this has really made me want to have my own kitchen to buy nice things for :( ah well, for now I will have to stick to buying clothes! :)
