Scrunchies.

So American Apparel has a thing for doing things a little over-the-top. Take the assless tights for instance.

But the fact that they're advertising scrunchies in 2009 just absolutely blows my mind. I know I still have some in my bow drawer at my parents house (yes, I had a bow drawer and yes it's still there) but God forbid I ever wear one unless I'm washing my face.

But fo realz who will wear these??


After reading the Cut post and I immediately thought of the Sex and the City episode (which AA totally tries to downplay here) where Carrie's dating that obnoxious writer, Berger, and he writes about a girl that wears a scrunchie and Carrie totally flips out over it. TOTALLY JUSTIFIED.

When you see someone in public wearing a scrunchie one would only hope it was by accident or they're pretending like it's 1985.
